Title: Secant Animation 2 Post by: HPDZ on March 02, 2009, 11:54:06 PM This is my first completed animation of a fractal based on the secant method. As far as I am aware, this is actually the first fractal animation ever created based on the secant method. (This one is called "2" because I started a different one first but it's not done yet.)
The initial starting value for the root-finding process is varied as the animation progresses; the coloring is based on the number of iterations needed to converge to a root of (x2-1)(x2-4)=0. Video files in both MP4 and WMV formats with various levels of video compression are available at: http://www.hpdz.net/Anim_SecantAnim2.htm (http://www.hpdz.net/Anim_SecantAnim2.htm) It is also on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbNEE71sGsw Title: Re: Secant Animation 2 Post by: cKleinhuis on March 04, 2009, 12:09:42 PM marvellous, thank you for this long animation ! i think i have to use my fractalmovies.com site again to keep track of the animations posted here and elsewhere .... keep on!# O0 O0 O0 |
