I'm not a logician but something doesn't seem right about the statement that "Free web services need some way of payment", if you mean we should pay because it's free... Post by: cKleinhuis on November 24, 2012, 08:47:25 PM Those Wiki ads with Jimbo Wales giving you the Stare of Death with his laser eyes were famously bad, why would you want to copy them? :-\ I'm not a logician but something doesn't seem right about the statement that "Free web services need some way of payment", if you mean we should pay because it's free... lol, the wales thing seems to work somehow for him ;) and free web services are not free at all, at least i have to pay for it, and it is true that the forums has done very well this year because as you all might now this year i am broke, and i am glad that with the help of a friends company i was able to print this years issue, and the help of few members made this year up for the hosting costs a server update is under the current circumstances far above my head, the ad income is certainly not enough for paying the doubled amount ( now 15€ then 30€ ) so, we still have to live with server breakdowns and just a single image per user a day, with wich i am quite unhapy right now, but this is it beside of that i would love to pay the artist a small amount of money, but right now not even the production cost of the calendars are reached :( Title: Re: the administrator needs your attention!
