heya paul :) your recent image posts have been really interesting and unique! this one is particularly rich in complexity, could you perhaps describe the multiple attraction bases and the distance estimator?

The other "ruby necklace" post goes into a bit more detail (and links to where you can find a 2048x1536 version of the image with higher quality) and one of my earlier posts (Fibonacci Fields, I think) goes into more detail about the particular rational map used, and some of the travails involved in implementing the distance estimator for it.
