Title: is there a limitation for hard shadow casting distance? Post by: taurus on October 07, 2012, 01:58:50 AM recently I found some solitaires in front of a rather massive fractal structure. My first thought was to make the front object cast a shadow on the rear structure. I tried manuslly - no success. I set up an animation moving the (shadow casting) light from upper left to upper right to lower right to lower left. While ther are shadows wandering accross the structure - uninterresting ones from the side - not a single frame contains shadows casted by the focus object.
So i ask myself, is this due to exceeding a max distance for hard shadow casting, or did I just try not hard enough? the params: Code: Mandelbulb3Dv18{and the image Title: Re: is there a limitation for hard shadow casting distance?
