how come you have so many great colors inside ?! fiddling around with palettes or using pauldels multi waves !?!

I make these in fractal extreme, so I can't use pauldelbrot's methods. Yeah, it's fiddling with palettes. In fact 99% of these renders would look pretty bad with the standard gradient and color mapping settings.
