I'll try a larger and better quality render next time, and also this online viewer seems to show some undesired distortions on the image, but I'm happy anyway with the result. Here's another one: http://fieldofview.com/flickr/?page=/photos/andrew-lee/8021908073/ I also found an application to make panoramic Flash files, I tried it with "The Infinitely Divided Highway to Fractal Insanity" remade with Mandelbulb3D 360 camera option, but it didn't turn out very well, it seems like the FOV is wrong or something, and I didn't notice that the background image was going to make a discontinuity. Also there are some nasty watermarks in the trial version ;D. If you want to try another viewer, you could take a look at this WebGL implementation: http://hvidtfeldts.net/WebGL/panorama.html It is a standard example from the three.js distributrion, but I think it works nicely. Btw, I got your PM, and you are completely right - the equirectangular thing doesn't support progressive rendering (see 3D.frag, line 166 - it should use jittered coords). It should not be difficult to fix this bug, but I can't promise when I find some time - I have a lot of work right now. There are a couple of issues with equirectangular maps: - The specular lighting depends on the camera direction, which is fixed once you have created the equirectangular image. So when viewing the image in a viewer, specular lighting does not change with the new camera orientation. - It is not possible to save HDR images in Fragmentarium, which would make them more suitable candidates for Image Based Lighting.
