Title: Christmas Attractor Post by: Ross Hilbert on December 24, 2008, 05:05:43 PM Christmas Attractor
(http://www.fractalforums.com/gallery/0/385_24_12_08_5_05_43.jpg) http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=450 This fractal is a strange attractor with 6-way dihedral symmetry. It was found using the Fractal Science Kit fractal generator built-in program "Symmetric Attractors (Search)" which searches for interesting attractors with rotational/dihedral symmetry. The program is based on an algorithm described in the paper: Chaotic attractors with cyclic symmetry revisited, Kevin C. Jones and Clifford A. Reiter (Lafayette College). Computers & Graphics 24 (2000) 271-282. Well done.
