Title: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: Alef on August 15, 2012, 08:42:14 PM I made this .m3l collection after I realised that there is not much publicly aviable colour files unless you do them by yourself, and becouse after finding good fractal spot it's pretty easy to just slice colours and look, which fitts the best.
Colour palettes are derived from different sources, some are my original creations, some are other peoples colours, but wast majority are ultimately traced back to Fractint public collection. As in Fractint all visual effects depends solelly on premade colour palettes, it have quite a few atmospheric time tested colour files like reptilian "dragon" or bunch of gradients simulating metallic shine. p.s. Colours are never too much. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * EDITED: Additional 16 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights ( EM_Mandelbulb3D_Colours_2.zip ). I made additional colour collection, becouse first one lacked certain things. First, there weren't rainbow colours. Second, since it was derived from Fractint public colection, it was very colourfull, but IMHO had not enought natural, earthy and pastel palettes. Third, I had rugged hybrids, which whom only some colours fitted. And fourth, menger fractals like colour on 2. choice. Here I concentrated of having quality ower quantity. Do and include these .m3l whatever and how you like. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * EDITED: + Additional 17 .m3l coulours in EM_Mandelbulb3D_Colours_3.zip file * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Alsou here is link to another pack. Less so colours, but more of lights by Ellen: I don't know if it's the one you are talking about, but I put one up at one time. http://thedesignspace.net/MT2archives/000900.html#.UR77_Y7g6rk Title: Re: 44 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: slon_ru on August 15, 2012, 09:54:05 PM Thx!

Title: Re: 60 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: Alef on August 26, 2012, 04:23:20 PM Added 16 more colours so together there is 60 different colours. I found unsophisticated PWC Ultra Fractal / Fractint colourmaps qute an usefull, and added some more natural tones.

At copyrights copyrighted were pantotene colors and "traditional colours of Nippon" but not these, and this is not comercial + some other colours and fog effect .m3l files. All were tested on some rotboxes. Didn't wanted make this especialy big package.

Hmm, credits, I don't know. I do have deviant art profile http://edo555.deviantart.com/ (http://edo555.deviantart.com/) but I use it more like as artless upload service, and I prefare my youtube channel instead http://www.youtube.com/user/antifacio (http://www.youtube.com/user/antifacio) However, maybe a link to this thread would be more usefull, as this have 3 zip files, and I alsou had an idea of making colours based on Mark Rothko paintings. Title: Re: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: PhotoComix on January 17, 2013, 05:44:15 PM cool
i tweaked 4, 2 i believe derive from " Crayon colour" but with a more extreme colour scheme as you may see here http://photocomix2.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d5r5xcz I zipped with my other previous attempts , the tweaked preserve the original name as part of the new name (except "trippy ) All here, in the attachment below Title: Re: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: ericr on February 21, 2013, 04:56:00 PM it is absolutly wonderfull color and shape

Title: Re: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: knokin on February 18, 2016, 05:23:40 AM Thanks. this is just what I'm looking for.
Do you create them from inside an Mandelbulb image or are you saving them from other software. I have some gradients love to pull in from other programs but doubt they are in the same format. I have newly come from Frax, which allows you to open any image from your Camera Roll into the fractal you are creating. It then pulls its gradient into the fractal, where you can tweak frequency etc through touch or sliders. I am finding Mandelbulb and Ultrafractal frustrating after the wonderful colours (and ease of adding them) which I have been used to. Title: Re: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: lecristal on February 18, 2016, 11:29:25 AM Hello :D
This is a beautiful thing for the software frax Sadly still disposnible for windows Os  Title: Re: 77 Mandelbulb3D colours and lights Post by: Karmic Beats on May 03, 2016, 03:31:15 AM Thank you for the wonderful lighting presets ;D I have not been around these forums much and I came here today looking for lighting presets. I do my lighting manually but it is nice to have some presets to stat with. Then it is matter of tweaking the settings rather than starting from scratch. Lighting can take an otherwise dull structure and turn it into a very interesting picture. Thank you muchly! :thumbsup1: |
