Title: bug in 3d navigator?
Post by: tricomplex on August 04, 2012, 04:54:46 AM
I have seen something odd in both 1.7 and 1.8 versions of Mandlebulb3d (on different windows machines).  In the 3d navigator, when the wheel button in the mouse is moved away from you, the camera acts like it is rotating in place.  When the wheel button is rolled towards you, it seems to be "walking away" as it should.  Pressing the W and S keys, as well as clicking on the arrows for "walking" work correctly (as far as I can tell).  Is this a bug or do I just need to configure something a little differently?  Any info on this would be appreciated.

p.s. still love the program! ; ;D

You are moving to the actual cursor position when zooming in with the mousewheel:
(copy from Readme textfile...)

Additional navigating with the mouse is possible in two modes:
you can move towards the object and back with the mousewheel, if you place the
cursor over a part of the image, you also change to this direction when stepping
  forwards.

Thanks,
I somehow missed (or forgot about) the bit about the direction change in the readme file.  Thanks again!
