Title: Re: Weaver Post by: thargor6 on August 02, 2012, 12:13:53 AM Yes, plain 2D ifs/fractal flame, 4 transforms, only linear and juliaN variation - playing with weights :-)
If someone is interested in the parameters just note me Title: Re: Weaver Post by: cKleinhuis on August 02, 2012, 12:22:16 AM ... just as a side information, is it because some special transform you are using, or could it be done easily with apophysis as well ?=!?!?
that 3d sharpening/unsharpening look is way cool, and i know it is easy to do it with the right transform, but it is so awesomely cool, that there has to be some spice that you are using that apophysis isnt, and your program is just plain java ... ;) Title: Re: Weaver Post by: thargor6 on August 02, 2012, 01:45:17 AM The "spice" is here is the use of HDR. I. E., the fractal flame is rendered at insane quality in JWildfire, but not tonemapped here (which would also yield decent results). The nearly unprocessed iteration data from the "chaos game" is exported as *.hdr image with 32 bits per color channel. The further tonemapping was done in Photoshop. Apophysis could also render this flame (i. e. there are no special variatons in it), but not in this quality. |
