Title: New website fractalpalace Post by: Kapock on December 17, 2008, 06:59:37 PM Not sure what fractal technology Incendia uses but the site www.fractalpalace.com allows you to download the source parameter files for Apophysis and Incendia created images. It also has links to an animation website (mostly non fractal) but still interesting. Title: Re: New website fractalpalace Post by: Hypnogems on January 02, 2009, 02:05:44 PM Thanks for that link!
Now, if you want to know what fractal technology Incendia uses, I have a useful suggestion; here is a link to the programmer's DeviantArt gallery. http://aexion.deviantart.com If you're not already a member at DA go and join. Basic membership is free. Once you have joined, you will have the ability to send Aexion a note regarding the tech involved in Incendia. (Note: Incendia is currently my main fractal engine with Apophysis 3D Hack running a close second.) this years fractal compo will feature a special 3d section ! :police: :police: Title: Re: New website fractalpalace Post by: Hypnogems on January 02, 2009, 08:28:06 PM one of the incendia co-developers also lurks on this forum O0 Hmmm... I've heard nothing about any co-developers...to date I was under the impression this was Aexion's baby alone. Should I note him and ask, or would the co-developer like to introduce himself/herself, seeing that Aexion seems to be taking all the donations on his own? Title: Re: New website fractalpalace Post by: lycium on January 03, 2009, 03:51:35 AM it's in the help/about box; my part in incendia is more through influence and collaboration than actual coding (it's been years since i've seen the source), so it's entirely right that any donations go to him :) @ trifox, sounds like the 2009 competition will be cool! the xenodream folks have finally done something about their rendering engine (leaving it now to lightwave and indigo via object export, hehe) so i would expect a strong showing from them... it's almost too tempting to resist, even though i'm not really focused on fractals these days. |
