Title: Apophymator: Apophysis script Post by: Apophyster on June 02, 2012, 09:55:30 AM I'm in a gray area. I write scripts not programs.
But I don't know where else to put this. I've uploaded a new version of my Apophymator script: http://morphapoph.deviantart.com/art/Apophymator-12a-proto-305832263 It's capable of doing something like "Electric Sheep" animations... I think. I've never actually seen those but I've used the flam3 software quite a bit so I have the general idea. The script produces interpolated animation frames along with the option to include "rotation" segments between the interpolations. The script offers a variety of rotation types rather than the single type flam3 uses. This version of Apophymator is not quite done which is the reason for the "proto" in the name. But it's stable in my use and most of the work I still have to do on the script is cosmetic. And usage info isn't ready yet. But I think it's a much better work than the 11x version which is over a year old now. There is an over-abundance of very talented and accomplished programmers and mathematicians here so I feel way out of my league. But I'm interested in whatever feedback people may have. Thanks for any interest you may have.... But here seems a good spot for it. There is also a text with some explanation of what the anim is about in the zip file with the animation example set. Fred |
