Title: Canyon1 Post by: HPDZ on October 19, 2008, 09:35:51 PM Here is another one of my recent animations.
http://www.hpdz.net/Anim_Canyon1.htm (http://www.hpdz.net/Anim_Canyon1.htm) This one zooms into the western wall of the "Canyon" or Seahorse Valley. This is the first animation to use a new adaptive coloring mechanism I came up with (and improved upon in Metaphase Variation 1). This method is kind of like a global histogram optimization, although a bit more complicated. It yields great results with this difficult animation that would otherwise have spans of time with the image too "flat" (all nearly one color) or with the colors changing too fast. A zoom into the eastern wall is underway and should be finished with initial data rendering in 7-10 days. I hope to get post-production work on it done by mid-November. Here are two snapshots from the 160-second, 4800-frame animation to a final size of 4e-41. (http://www.hpdz.net/images/Canyon1-Img3.jpg) (http://www.hpdz.net/images/Canyon1-Img6.jpg) I shared the coordinates of the endpoint of this animation with The UFVP website http://www.fractal-animation.net/ufvp.html (http://www.fractal-animation.net/ufvp.html) and he has published his result with the title "Descent". I this it's a very nice work and I recommend checking it out. It's about 50% of the way down the page. Title: Re: Canyon1 Post by: HPDZ on October 20, 2008, 12:43:38 AM Thanks! Just to clarify ... the still images above are from a completed animation, Canyon1. This is available for viewing on my site or my YouTube channel. The work-in-progress is going to be called Canyon2, which is what should be done in a week or so. |
