The opening is done, it was a success with about 100 curious visitors of all ages asking questions about fractals.

Thank you Christian, yes, the Art Curator of the museum held a very good speak about this being a very exiting new art form, and how exited they were to be the first museum to feature a 3D fractal exhibition of this size. (at least we do not know of any before this, correct me if I am wrong!)

One of the most important thing for me to remember of this event was to meet you in person Johan, after 3 years of talking on this forum ;)
We definitely should try to organize some fractalforums all hands meetings!

Of course, it is fantastic to meet and finally talk to someone who knows what you are talking about. it has never been talked this much nerd 3D fractal topics in the history of the city of Karlstad. A fractal forum get together would of course beat us!  O0

a ff convention is planned since 4 years now ;)
and i have always been planning this to take place in the planetarium that is holding the "fractal friday" show since ages ;)

I can't find any tool to rip the TV4 video. The only one I could get to work is called GetFLV and the trial version is limited to 50% of the file!

Does anybody know an easy tool to rip that video? We have the permission of the TV4 journalist. Thanks!

I hope (and believe) this exhibition is just the start for all of us, I'd love to see many more exhibitions of all the creativity on this forum.

(I have also tried to rip the news video with no success, any suggestions are welcome...)

had a quick glance yesterday with firebug. they obfuscated the source video by embedding in a swf-application. found a way to play video standalone in a browserwindow without the ads, but couldn't rip it off - tricky.
maybe a closer look with flashfirebug can clarify...

It is a several meters long info-board about the history of fractals which the museum had made very beautiful...
