Title: Looking for fractal submissions for flythroughs in music video
Post by: gregsage on May 07, 2012, 02:53:05 PM
Beginning preproduction now on music video that uses fractal flythroughs both as backgrounds and as virtual landscapes...  using motion tracking and other techniques to drop both real and animated characters into various fractals so there is true interaction between them.

I've spent the past week scouring the net looking for suitable fractals to use, and have tested a few dozen.  Most look great as stills, but don't work well for my purposes, so I thought I'd just ask for submissions if anyone out there has some params they think might fit the bill.

Not necessarily looking for an organic "realistic" landscape.  Think Dr. Seuss meets Alice and Wonderland, and you're probably closer to the overall aesthetic.  Open minded here.  Some will need a general sense of "architecture" to them so that characters have a suitable place to stand, etc... but general music video eye candy is on the menu as well, so not discounting anything out of hand.  The one thing they all need is "explorability."

Anyone whose params are used (although they may well be tweaked) will be credited at the end of the video by the means of their choice including mention of any website if they have one.

Thanks in advance for a heads up on any you might have, or any you might direct my attention to.
