Title: A 3D Print from Mandelbubl 3D Post by: Don Whitaker on May 02, 2012, 08:31:24 AM My first 3D printed object arrived today. It's a shape I made using the Voxel Stacks feature in Mandelbulb 3D as a part of this Instructables tutorial. http://www.instructables.com/id/Create-a-3D-printed-3D-fractal/
I'm very impressed with the print and I can't wait to try something larger and more complex. So cool to hold something in RL that started out as nothing but pixels and light. Thank you for the collection of tutorials and links Don! Weavers: I've been keeping an eye on the little shaver, but she hasn't yet done anything too suspicious. I did catch her conferring with some of the local fractal inhabitants, though. Might be some sort of trouble brewing there. :police: Title: Re: A 3D Print from Mandelbubl 3D Post by: jotero on May 10, 2012, 07:35:01 PM Thanks for the great guide :embarrass: (http://www.evolution-of-genius.de/3d/mandelbulb_3d_stl.jpg) Cu Torolf Title: Re: A 3D Print from Mandelbubl 3D Post by: eldon on July 24, 2012, 02:09:35 AM very neat, thanks for sharing & pioneering

I'm glad to see that people are putting those tutorials to good use. I'm currently saving up for my own 3D printer so I can continue my experiments. I've also seen some of your work on YouTube - fascinating shapes you are creating. |
