I know that 3D fractals are usually preferred here, but I personally enjoy 2D as well, so I'll continue working on them, sorry  ;D

This is Ultra Fractal, single layer, my own formula, with minor postwork.

I'm with you on the 2d/3d debate.  Your image shows great colouring and you have a good imagination and eye.

Nice image.

Actually I prefer 2d most of the time, but that could be because more people are specialized in that. I've seen only few really good 3d fractal artists.

Thanks, I appreciate your comments.

About the "debate", if the people here are generally more interested on 3D fractals, or just like them more (as the pageviews count shows clearly), there's nothing left to debate, I think.
Is a matter of personal taste and interests, and that's ok.
What I said is that this fact is not going to stop posting my explorations of the flatworlds ;D

I was kind of apoligizing for that, I think  :)

Cheers,

I have produced some interesting and varied 2D and 3D images and plan to continue to do both, but my own area of expertise is definitely in the 2D area too.
