Title: a 3D Mandelbulb/Mandelbox gallery on the web
Post by: cbuchner1 on April 06, 2012, 09:23:59 PM
The company phereo.com has partnered with nVidia to bring 3D image galleries to the web

Here is a link to a gallery to 3D fractals

You can view this in various stereo modes, including nVidia 3DVision if your graphics card, driver and monitor support it. Note that this will most likely require Microsoft's Silverlight plugin to function.

The web site offers basic sharing functions like flickr, but it seems slower to use and often the images are shown in rather small size, even when running a slide show. So there's plenty to improve. But it is a start.

Here a little tutorial to create "julia 1" on this page:
  • download mandelbulber
  • install mandelbulber
  • start mandelbulber
  • hit render
  • save image
that's it! it's the starting parameter - not to say a cheekiness...
