Title: Hello all
Post by: RisingEyes on July 29, 2008, 05:02:09 AM
Well, I recently picked up fractal art as a hobby and am interested in learning how to make better ones than the pretty generic ones I'm currently making. At the moment I'm just doing stuff randomly and eventually think "Hey, that looks cool" and render out that image. But I want to learn how to actually make images by knowing what each thing does.

Currently I am using Apophysis, but am open to getting and learning other programs as well.

I look forward to everyone's guidance and appreciate the patience to put up with me hehe.

my DeviantArt page is http://risingeyes.deviantart.com/ which has all of my favorite fractals on there that I've made.

hello and welcome to the forum, you have a nice gallery there :D
apophysis offers only one kind of fractals, the 3d apophysis has a lot to offer, but there are more programs, like ultrafractal, or chaoscope or fractal explorer which concentrate on the classic fractals ...

if you like you can upload images to the gallery here, to show us more of your work, it is not meant as replacement for deviantart, but perhaps a place for your experiments  O0 :angel1: :police:

have fun

Sweet, I'll do that when I get some time. Like I stated before, I pretty much know nothing about how to make fractals flow together, I just dick around and find something that looks cool. I'll check into those other programs you mentioned :D thank you
