some rather experimental and longish animation i created with mandelbulber. enjoy!

Dear Lord !! That's fantastic !! How did you create that ? Those effects are really intense !! Loved it !

glad that you like it!

the first 5 minutes were tricky to create: the basis was images created by mandelbulber and then i had my own programs that manipulated those files. so i could stop the rotation in my program while the mandelbulber-animation continued. also, i always let mandelbulber save the images with alpha-channel, so i can add the backgrounds in-post (for example the clouds-timelapse). whenever possible i use the imagemagick suite and then write scripts in python for batch-processing. this is really powerful!
