Title: DEMO Scene using fractals
Post by: Weber on March 26, 2012, 12:04:23 AM
I'm sure that some of you have heard of the demo scene and more specifically farbrausch.com.  I have followed these demos for nearly 10 years when their first demos were in kb.  Now after more modern video and cpu enhancements, the demos are now in MB.  Any I was browsing some of their latest videos and it seems that they too have grasped the mandelbulb concept as seen in two of the videos I've watched so far, fr-043 and fr-063.  fr-063 actually features a full mandelbulb with a fly through towards the end of the video.

@2:57 in this video the mandelbulb appears followed by the short fly through.

I think this is really cool since the mandelbulb has unlimited possibilites and I also really love the demo scene.

No I haven't noticed, but I also haven't been around here that long.
