Title: 3D Fractal showreels Post by: apewax on March 15, 2012, 03:12:02 PM Thanks all, I have checked the rules now..... and hopefully posting in the right forum!
Here are two videos I have produced using Mandelbulb. If you are looking for a slower ride, click on the 1st video and if you want to see mayhem, check out the one underneath lol. I am really keen to get some feedback. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mE8XJ0Zi34 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mE8XJ0Zi34) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gHhCYOCrWw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gHhCYOCrWw) Title: Re: 3D Fractal showreels Post by: DarkBeam on March 15, 2012, 04:20:53 PM The first sequences show a tetrahedral ABox, cool! Which formula exactly, the first or the second? :dink:
Title: Re: 3D Fractal showreels Post by: apewax on March 15, 2012, 04:46:36 PM I think it was the first. I am almost certain, however once you begin fiddling with this program.... who knows what you may come out with lol. Really hoping to do more, they take surprisingly little time to render (if you consider 3 minutes a frame small) . I left that 1st scene rendering for over a whole week during the christmas period and managed to get 37 seconds. I want to do one that is about 2 minutes long next ;-)

BUT The 2nd reel has a commercial quality to it that Hollywood could use on one of their TV shows OR Movies, seriously! Let's see some more as you explore your artistic side.... |
