Here is another picture I made at the same time...just a variation on a theme. I do have several more if you would like for me to post them. That's really nifty. And no, I don't think anyone plagiarized anything. Using Sittinglight's (or whoever's) combo as a base for exploration is no more (or less) unoriginal than making yet another z2 + c zoom. :) If it produces nifty results, the more of us go poking around in its depths, the better. Each new and interesting finding from any of these systems enriches us all. Title: Re: Pauldebrot: variation on a theme Post by: thom on February 28, 2012, 08:57:23 PM I am sorry...I misunderstood.

I think it's a absolutely fantastic fractal, even so good that I wish it was on deviantart so I could add it to my favorites. It's got so much in it. I am amazed by how much this mimicks a forest including a path, while in the meantime it has some very mysterious elements. There's the grey which fits the burned atmosphere in the forest, and the blue fog in the distance which creates a contrast with the trees coming from the... roof? It's very surreal. It also has an atmosphere of a dark battlefield suitable for an online game with the hole in the ground and logs that form bridges. There's a lot to be seen and it all fits perfectly in this single fractal. Very well done! I've got some stuff in the works that resembles this in some ways, though is different and original in others. Stay tuned ... |
