Title: Hi from England!
Post by: Hypnogems on May 27, 2008, 02:04:51 PM
Hi.

I'm Lynn and I just got back into fractals after giving up
trying to learn FractInt in 1997.  Still learning the math
involved, and trying different generators, but having lots
of fun.  Glad to see this board exists!

Hi Lynn,

Welcome.

Fractint was my first fractalprogram too...and for me also very difficult !
My favorite program is Fractal Explorer, but there is a lot more fractalsoftware now you can use without any knowlegde of math.

hello and welcome to the forum !

fractint was one of my first fractal programs also, but i always hated the ugly colors it produced, i started with fractals in amigabasic on amiga, self written ...

have fun!

Welcome to the forum!

If all fractal generators required a deep understanding of the math involved, the world would be a sadder place!

I enjoy Chaoscope, Chaos Pro, and Mutatorkammer (written by the Administrator of this forum!) for windows.

Fractalworks is very nice if you run on the mac operating system.

Endlos is fun and written in java, so it works on all operating systems!

There are more, but those are the ones that came to mind quickly.

I hope to see some of your own art posted here!

Hi there...
I'm using a fractal pattern to study that effect on turbulent flow...
