Title: Noisy Picture Post by: JoaGoo on February 15, 2012, 09:47:14 AM Hi Experts,
I always get points in the image that looks "strange" (see Appendix). On what parameters I need to tweak to eliminate this image disturbance? Thanks for the tips in advance JoaGoo Title: Re: Noisy Picture Post by: cKleinhuis on February 15, 2012, 10:04:50 AM hey dude, stop double posting, even multi-lingual double posting is not soo nice!
Title: Re: Noisy Picture Post by: bib on February 15, 2012, 11:10:19 AM Try to play with parameters in the Calculation tab. In particular, you will want to decrease Raystep multiplier and Stepwidth Limiter.
Title: Re: Noisy Picture Post by: lenord on February 15, 2012, 02:52:53 PM Definitely Raystep multiplier and Stepwidth Limiter, the lower the cleaner for that surface noise
Title: Re: Noisy Picture Post by: bib on February 15, 2012, 02:55:32 PM At the expense of calculation time of course!

You can test it quicker by using the 'recalculate a selection' function in the postprocessing window. On critical formulas with very bad distance estimates, reducing the stepwidth limiter can also help.
