Title: mandelbulber-mac-1.09 on OSX 10.6.8 install issue Post by: bengvc on February 12, 2012, 07:02:22 PM I'm a newb, pardon my ignorance, when I first opened the installer into Terminal, seeing it asked for a password, I was thrown, entered the pass I created for this forum until a message was returned about wrong password 3 times. So, after restart I tried again, now Terminal doesn't respond to key strokes, trying to enter my administrator password, which I read is what it wants (correct?). If anyone can throw a newb a bone, very much appreciate it.

I moved this into the Mandelbulber forum instead of the Mandelbulb 3D forum, where hopefully the right people will see it and reply. Now that the question is in the right forum, it should be answered as soon as anyone who knows what to do sees it. Could be quickly, or not - I have no idea if this is a common problem or not. Passwords for administrator accounts should not be blank (otherwise the sw won't work). Type CTRL-Q to get the terminal again. Did you fix the problem now?
