Title: Fractalic Hello
Post by: ciperlone on February 11, 2012, 01:46:03 PM
HELLO!
I'm a musician, and I love nature and mathematics applied to art. So, I love fractals!!

I started more than 5 years ago, using several programs, and I felt in love with Apophysis.
I made a video with moving fractals, and then composed music according to the movement. That was for a class about video and music.
I had to uninstall the program, because I was always creating fractals, and fractal animation, using a lot of my time and a lot of CPU power.
Creating fractals is a true pleasure, and I can be hypnotized for hours, making them...

Nowadays, I'm back to fractals, and I'm really happy to discover this forum with great recourses and so many great great artists.
Your art is blowing me away!!! 3d Fractals are really slick!
This year I will release an album where fractal images are very much related to the graphical art work.

I'm trying to understand how to make 3D Fractals in Apophysis 7x, but I haven't found any good resource about this issue... :(
Any help?

Welcome ciperlone. Sorry I can't help with Apophysis although there are a number of users posting here. Just had to say I can relate to being hypnotized by fractals. I sometimes watch my software slowly rendering frames for videos for hours. When you create vids be sure to post a link. I very interested in musical ideas for my fractal vids.

The best apo3d fractals are made by Lindelokse, you can find her at aposhack sometimes... Also great tutorials are made by pillemaster. Lots of stuff to learn btw... It is like a science :snore:

hi an welcome from me too. i used to be musician too, but i didn' touch my guitar for more than half a year. seems that i have a limited ammount of creative energy to spend. and at the moment it's all dedicated to graphix.
i only have the link to lindelokse's da page, but it's definitely worth a look...

To be a musician is not an easy task. If you stop playing, you forget it... Of course if you start again you evolve faster, but if you don't practice, you lose it...

I can't see any tutorials about 3d fractals on apophysis. Where are they?
