Title: Thepookster's Burning ship series
Post by: thepookster on February 06, 2012, 10:49:08 PM
After being inspired by HPDZ's original Burning ship deep zoom video, I began exploring this fractal. I originally was using Ultra Fractal 5 to explore it, however while UF5 makes beautiful images, it ultimately proved too slow for my exploratory needs. I began searching for a plugin for Fractal eXtreme but despite my best efforts I couldn't locate one, I ended up posting here in the corresponding  thread and Panzerboy was kind enough to create one. Since then I have been exploring to my hearts content as FX is incredibly fast.

I have found some pretty interesting areas to say the least, and would like to share some of these over the next few weeks/months.

I originally created a thread for the first one I made but mistakenly put it in the picture forum, I figured I would create a proper thread for these videos.  Anyways, enjoy.

I'm going to start this off with a short dive that shows off a region that is unusually round for the burning ship.

Today's deep zoom is a decent into the Burning Ship to a depth of 3.5e100
Set to a lovely song by one of my favorite artists Big Giant Circles.

Enjoy

Greetings,

Today we have a reverse zoom of the Burning Ship Fractal.

This took about 3 days to render in fractal eXtreme. the zoom starts at an Initial depth of 2.53e120 and zooms all the way out. Enjoy!
