Title: Auto Preset Randomiser, random preset combiner Post by: ant123 on February 05, 2012, 09:36:06 PM I just had a preset randomisation idea, i dont know how wacky it is so here goes...: If a 3d fractal looks good from a far away, from an global perspective in the default view, you can see pretty fast if it is worth zooming into and tweaking to find new kinds of 3d worlds, if it has defined contours. So It could be worth it to make au auto clicker program that randomly goes through say, 250 random combinations of formulas while you are asleep on your 3d fractal rendering setting, and saves each random setting to a file and image... So that when you wake up in the morning, you can have a slideshow of 250 random strange presets waiting for you on your PC to see any nice ones, rather than searching randomly and waiting beforehand. Also, if you just combine formulas at default values, the randomiser would be more limited and it might miss loads of cool intersting presets that you get when you put x=2.17, scale =1.1, julia=4 etc etc, and also sometimes it's fun to have iteration of one forumla at 32, another at 3 and another at 1. perhaps it would be best to mix 3d with 3d, Adds with Adds and have particular sequences to make the most logical formulas. What do you think of making an auto preset randomiser that can go through random combinations and return lots of pics and saves of new formulas every day. Is there a way to mix the all the settings in a way that wouldnt mostly return blank screens all day and that would do some interesting research using an auto clicker program? |
