Title: Mandlebulb video render time?
Post by: tin34543 on February 05, 2012, 06:18:43 PM
HI

You can see the render time for each frame of video, but is there a way in Mandlebuld to see how long it will take for the remaning 'frames' of a video to render. So i know how many hours a set of renderings will take?

If not would be useful in a later version :)

As the rendering time may vary very significantly for rendering individual frames (depending on their content/settings) I guess that predicting in advance the total duration of an animation render is nearly impossible.

However I think you might be able to estimate roughly the duration of an animation render by first rendering a full length preview and extrapolating the duration from the ratio preview render time/full render time of a small animation of same dimension.
