Title: JWildfireMini on android :-)
Post by: thargor6 on February 01, 2012, 09:50:48 PM
Just created a special (and still very experimental) JWildfire version called JWildfireMini as app for android smartphones.
It can render most JWildfire/Apo flames and is both very stable and very slow ;-)

Here is a "screenshot" as first impression:

The example flame (my "Border stones") took 67 seconds to render (The image resolution was 480x640) . This is of course not really acceptable but I was very impressed by the fact that it worked that easy (without many changes to the codebase) :-)

I'm currently unsure if it will make sense to go further with this project, so any comments/hints are very welcome :-)

this is art, and for some it is just a sofa!
nice plotting, i have android as well, how to install ?
i would love some kind of realtime, parameter modifications, and the plotting successive, i mean in the 67 seconds was there a black screen ? or could you watch the flame render?

Well, this was my initial idea (or dream ;)). I thought it would be really cool if you could drag the triangles of the transforms with your finger tips and "bend" to fractal with your hands. But this will need some more work and probably faster devices ;)
I will post any download link as soon as there is something one may really enjoy.

Best regards
