Please explain?

What do you mean by tubular fractals? Can you post an example?

In Tierazon there are filters for "stalks".

L-systems can be branching tubes like these two:

Escape time fractals can also be colored to appear to have tubular shapes:

Maybe something from the Lorenz attractors?

Like this Chaoscope render, maybe?

don thanks a lot.it's something i read in terranuts. i have seen some made in apo.i knew aboout stalks.maybe tubular refers to them

The above image, titled "SmoothBranchingInTriple_002", is really interesting!!  I like it very much!!    :)

What program did you use to generate it??

If you do mean the LSystem type fractals, such as what Don gave links to, and the following which I did several years ago:

   http://www.nahee.com/Fractals/FraSZle/Gallery_01.html (http://www.nahee.com/Fractals/FraSZle/Gallery_01.html)

Then there are at least a couple dozen fractal type applications available which will create these "tubular" graphic images.

don't recall whether i read it in the deviation's descriptions or whether don told me explicitly, but iirc it was rendered in maya from a density field created with don's application (before it did its own rendering).

This one was a polygonal model done by hand in Maya

The program is called "FraSZle" and was created by Terry W. Gintz.  These images are some older ones I generated way back near the beginning of this century.     ;)
