Title: Fractal music video - Dandelion Post by: juharkonen on June 01, 2007, 05:29:41 PM Hi all, I've recently uploaded my new fractal music video named Dandelion to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5arEdwXd1k Technical details: I've been learning to use a realtime VJ tool Resolume and this is my first public animation made with Resolume included in the workflow. The first set of fractal animation clips was created in Ultra Fractal. Then I mixed the animation clips with each other and added video effects using Resolume, and recorded the outcome with an external dvd recorder. Finally I edited the final music video using Premiere from over 30min of animation footage. This technique allows me to avoid some of the performance problems often encountered when rendering animation with UF. Instead of rendering everything on UF, I can only create short basic animation sequences and then combine them in various ways using Resolume. Due to several consecutive lossy compression steps, the video is a bit grainy and choppy sometimes. Also, the resolution is limited to 640x480 because Resolume starts to slow down for higher resolutions. Enjoy! |
