Title: Greetings folks Post by: fractalcow on April 30, 2007, 06:47:14 AM Hey, I'm Megan and I just registered. I started getting interested in fractal art a few months ago then started making my own around a month ago, so I'm really new to this. I started with Apo but now I'm more of a UF user.
I'm here hopefully to pick up some tips, get advice, all that jazz. I really like to get critique on my work because I want to know if it's any good. Lol. The work I've done so far can be found at http://fractalcow.deviantart.com/ So that's it I guess. Hello to everyone here :D Title: Re: Greetings folks Post by: Nahee_Enterprises on April 30, 2007, 09:36:35 PM Greetings, Megan!! And welcome to this particular Forum!! :)
Since you are still fairly new new to fractals, please do not get frustrated over the many things that can be done and/or learned. Some of us have been working with them for decades and we still learn something new as we play around with various software applications. And speaking of fractal programs, I see you just tried out Tiera-Zon for the first time today. The author, Stephen C. Ferguson, has been making and writing fractal programs for many years. And this is but one of many which he has available for download: http://www.ktaza.com/fractal/login.jsp (http://www.ktaza.com/fractal/login.jsp) user: dcaps password: dcaps And also at: http://www.eclectasy.com/Iterations-et-Flarium24/ (http://www.eclectasy.com/Iterations-et-Flarium24/) When searching around the Internet, with over 500 fractal generating programs available to the public, and several of them offering something unique not found in other applications, you can not go wrong with experimenting with at least the top 20 or so of these (most of them FREEWARE). ;D Title: .. Post by: heneganj on April 30, 2007, 09:48:57 PM FractalCow welcome to the forums - that is a great name! I wonder if any of the artists here will parody your name in their images - a mottled brown and white texture perhaps? :)

I liked On Blossoming and Curlicues and the Melons colors were Very Hippy! (Coming from an old Hippy, that's a compliment). Oh yes... I wonder if any of the artists here will parody your name in their images - a mottled brown and white texture perhaps? :) Haven't you seen my silly gif images with fractals and stuffed cows blended via image editing? I have a few... Title: Re: Greetings folks Post by: fractalcow on May 07, 2007, 07:31:40 AM ;D that would be interesting... to see cow-inspired fractals.
