Title: Spherical projection of Menger Sponge
Post by: heneganj on March 16, 2007, 08:56:28 PM
I take no credit for this image, but found it extraordinary.  It is a spherical projection inside the sponge:

i learnt a lot of graphics tricks from the author of that pic, who used to make cool qbasic programs (there was one with a crab where you push blocks). angelo "ken" pesce, it's indelibly printed into my mind :) and yes, that's a very cool work of his; it's quite straightforward to write an application that lets you "look around" freely given such an image.
