I stick to freeware myself. I LOVE Chaoscope and am still developing with Chaos Pro. Both Excellent and free. Something that has recently been written in the past 1 to 6 months?? Something that is still being developed and has new releases coming out on a somewhat regular basis?? And secondly, what do you mean by "fractal development"?? Creating your own formulas?? Or just creating graphic images?? Or maybe something altogether different?? that's pretty slow at the moment, for various reasons (like being a 32bit port of a 64bit app with a different compiler, etc)... high quality output tho, check my deviantart / www link for some examples if you're interested. I checked Chaoscope, they have very beatiful pictures. I do not even understand why such programs do not spread really wide. If you wanted to put a new decorative picture in your flat, it is very cheap, it may be 80-95 percent of the commercial decoart and it is your personal artwork, instead people go to the Ikea. Back to Chaoscope, it says 3D rendering, so they may use some type of 3D volume rendering. About rendering, the program has some some volume rendering routines too, but not in the published version. I already notified Simzer the author about this forum.
