Title: Experimental Post by: titia on November 18, 2006, 05:27:43 PM I don't know if this belongs here...
I am not a formulawriter, but I like to play with formulae. With the words and numbers. Sometimes this gives nice results. This are 2 examples. Made with Fractal Explorer. Title: Re: Experimental Post by: lycium on November 19, 2006, 10:48:52 PM wow, as much as i go in for very antialiased images, there is a ton of weird structure to these images - both regular and irregular.
as jason mentioned, the mind certainly does try hard to interpret structure in those images. i'd be very interested to know how it was produced :) Title: Re: Experimental Post by: David Makin on November 20, 2006, 12:33:48 AM Awesome Titia - the second one in particular looks like part of a big stadium.
Title: Re: Experimental Post by: titia on November 22, 2006, 10:33:01 AM Someone with knowlegde of fractals and formulae told me I mutilated formulae and I could get an image because of a bug in the program I used... But I like the results anyway :-)
Indeed, this images are made with Fractal Explorer 2.00 and the newer versions only show the infinity: nothing. But if you like you can get a copy of FE 2.00 (it isn't on the internet anymore, I believe) and of course: the file. You can see for yourself what I did... I would like to know what you think of it. I even made a fractal cry :-) (http://tinypic.com/44g3gux) Title: Re: Experimental Post by: titia on November 24, 2006, 10:10:37 AM City Raw fractal (http://tinypic.com/404reaf) |
