Greetings, Laurent !! Nice to see you as a member of this Forum. :D Been doing much with Terry W. Gintz's programs (http://www.mysticfractal.com/) these days?? Still doing imports into Vue?? About Terry softare yes it's easy to import in Vue cause Vue support OBJ format and Terry softwares are in this format to export. All 3D software support OBJ now, but sometime it's very long to import cause files generated are heavy, need good configuration hardware. Yes, having the right hardware setup makes life much more easy when working with 3-D renderings. Plenty of RAM and a powerful processor are key elements these days. And the next version of XenoDream (http://www.xenodream.com/) should be a treat for everyone that wishes to do 3-D imaging, with the start of animation and batch rendering, along with better mesh support.
