Well I didn't really think the ships would be 'luck' (hence my emphasis) as there are so many of them. I congratulate you on your "extensive knowledge of the program" - there are some excellent works in your link. Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks for putting me straight on the matter.

There is no luck here, just extensive knowledge of the program. I simply use it as a faster PhotoShop. I make preliminary skecthes for my works, and I think much more for the atmosphere and colors instead of the final execution in UF, which is pure technique. No there isn't some special formula for ships, nor I do only ships, see here for example - http://raysheaf.deviantart.com/gallery/29970257 Last days I'm more onto dirigibles and alternative history, soon will upload some of these :-)

well, that's amazing.

I haven't used UF5 since the trial ran out because I discovered M3D instead. Is there a 'create ship' (and others) mode, or is it total 'luck' that so many turn out to look like ships?

I may have to investigate it again some time in the future - but I have enough to do for now getting my head around M3D.

It is so, the ships too are generated by fractal formulas, everything. No foreign levels, no imported images. As such the picture could be rendered as big as the memory permits, without degradation!

I love the wild imagery in your works - especially this one - but I am struggling to understand how it was "Entirely done in UltraFractal 5"? At first I thought it was a joke - because it is 'obvious' the the ships are not(?) fractal generated. But others appear to have responded as if they accept that they are. So...if it is not too stupid to ask...what am I missing, here?  huh?

cheers
Kam
