Splitting ApartBlack MesaSomething Very Odd Indeed
Black Mesa

Description: The DwellGrad coloring method can be used on Julia sets as well. It works best on connected ones though; disconnected ones have a topological defect at the critical point and all of its preimages (a "cone" around which the colors circle in reverse order; the smoothed iteration curves have saddle nodes here and the grad having these conical singularities is therefore actually legitimate, but it spoils somewhat the embossed-fractal effect when there are these extra, isolated embossed points in the image).
