Description: Created using Ultra Fractal. Here's another render of the "True 3D" Mandelbrot using the latest version of my WIP 3D formulas for UF - this actually formula won't be released but the class formulas for 3D raytracing I'm working on will have rendering for Julibrots/Quats/Hypercomplex etc. based on the same algorithms. Rendered at 3840*2880 in 45mins on my ailing 3GHz P4HT in single-threaded mode (it probably only manages around 2GHz because of automatic clock-speed reduction due to overheating). David Makin | March 06, 2012, 11:54:43 PM @matty685 I did release my formula for UF in the end, just not via the UF database as it's not "finished" enough for that, but the algorithm for this plus many 'bulbs and 'boxes are included - see here: http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbulb-implementation/update-to-the-mmf-wip-formula-for-ultra-fractal/ Note that some of the replies in the thread refer to older versions of the formula but the first post in the thread is up to date... |
