Description: For those of you that are familiar with SMD technology and have actually tried to solder an SMC into a PCB, I have news: Your nightmare has just gotten worse! The new hype is VMD: Volume Mounted Devices. No PCB's are necessary, wires and components are just added together in a 3D matrix. The industry is talking about a revolution that's equal to the invention of the Integrated Circuit... (Okay, I admit it, it's just a wee tweak of this one: http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=7519: Different POV, DE, Colour Palette, Lighting and "Repeat from here" setting. This one is actually less critical then the other render and produced good results in the pre-M3D 1.72 era ![]() Stats: Total Favorities: 2 View Who Favorited Filesize: 431.78kB Height: 800 Width: 1200 Discussion Topic: View Topic Posted by: Madman ![]() Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Image Linking Codes

Madman | June 17, 2011, 10:19:41 PM Well, I guess lenord, that your comment qualifies as "familiar with SMD technology" ![]() ![]() Thanks KW, I might explore a little more. Might even try a movie some day. |
KRAFTWERK | June 16, 2011, 04:11:05 PM As cool as the last one, I love this place! ![]() ![]() |
lenord | June 16, 2011, 12:08:09 AM Surface mount made packing density crazy on PC Boards, even crazier when the cheap ass company I worked for was to stupid to purchase the proper Soldering/Desoldering tools for Surface Mount. Using through hole soldering tools for Surface mount is definitely the BFFI method (Brute Force and F#*king Ignorance), took me 2 years to pry managements head outa that dark place and get them to get current. |
