Description: I've always been a bit of a purist when it comes to creating fractals: "No postprocessing allowed"! So... then this Jesse-guy finds some new improvement for M3D. It's called "reflections" and it's definitely hot! But... It also puts me on the spot, because there's not many situations where all surfaces are mirrors. Luckily, my backbone is made of wet toilet-paper, so I readily succumbed and put my principles overboard. This one has seen some postprocessing. And that's the reason why it's posted here and not in the M3D gallery Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 436.54kB Height: 1200 Width: 1200 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: nothing Posted by: Madman May 26, 2011, 09:50:55 PM Rating: by 7 members. Madman | August 09, 2015, 09:26:16 PM Thank you Pacome and mclarekin! It's nice to see some people take the time to browse the older images on this forum! |
mclarekin | August 06, 2015, 06:17:37 AM After evaluating the pro's and con's, and looking at it sideways with squinted eyes, I still come to the conclusion that its a stunningly good image. Maddeningly masterly Madman. |
Pacome | August 04, 2015, 10:26:40 AM Very pure.. *** |
DarkBeam | May 20, 2012, 05:14:43 PM Pure elegance |
Madman | May 27, 2011, 11:13:30 PM Thanks! I still feel it's a form of cheating to postprocess your fractals, but hey, I'll get over it I'll have to with this reflection thing. Now if we could only combine this with volumetric lighting... |
KRAFTWERK | May 27, 2011, 08:29:56 AM Über cool madman! I get inspired... |
lenord | May 26, 2011, 11:55:13 PM Holy Carap dude, that's awesome. Nothing wrong with postworking a Fractal, you're not changing the fractal result, just enhancing the look. |
reallybigname | May 26, 2011, 11:08:02 PM Reflecty goodness.... mmm.... I was waiting for someone to take one of these architectural looking ones and rerender it with reflections! |
