Description: One of the prerogatives of living close to the sea is that you can regularly witness the stunning views that are created by the boundary between land and water. This picture was taken close to the shoreline. It is a shame though that even this early in the season, tourists have marred the beach by their compulsive need to dig ditches in the sand...

Madman | May 05, 2011, 10:06:40 PM Thank you for the positive feedback @Erisian: Only two beaches... pure poverty There's beaches in almost every wind direction here. On the downside: there's very few that have not been discovered by tourists! @lenord: I guess M3D is enough. Although you'll need all 6 formula slots for this one |
KRAFTWERK | May 05, 2011, 03:07:22 PM This looks so damned real. Like a satellite photo. Great find man! |
lenord | May 05, 2011, 02:52:49 PM Very cool effect, excellent. Don't know if you are familiar at all with MojoWorld, it's a Landscape/World building program that uses fractal bases to drive displacements in building entire planets, this is very simmilar to some near shore shallow water stuff I've produced with it in the past.....and that program cost $400 freakin Bucks |
Don Whitaker | May 04, 2011, 11:40:37 PM Beautiful. |
Guest | May 04, 2011, 11:16:01 PM Lovely pic. I was lucky to live in Llandudno in N.Wales a number of years ago and it has two beaches. The N.shore was the tourist's beach and I tended to avoid it, but the W.shore was a beautiful peaceful beach and I used to walk towards Conwy in the evenings and watch the boats entering Conwy harbour, silhouetted by the sunset. It was the loveliest time of my life. |
