Interpolated Olympic Fire Cauldron | ||||||

Description: Shhht! Don't tell anyone, but I've heard that the new design for the Olympic Fire Cauldron for the 2012 Olympics has been chosen. I've heard it from a friend whose brother knows the sister of a classmate of a guy who's married to the woman who used to work in the bakery where Jacques Rogge buys his bread, so it must be true. It seems to be based on an old and somehow forgotten feature called Interpolation in a 3D fractal generation program. The designer claims he's found a way to export objects as a 3D mesh, but I'm pretty sure that's just a load of hogwash... Madman | May 04, 2011, 10:01:03 PM Thanks! @len: I agree Although I might get into trouble with my employer if I start M3D-ing during working hours (And I know that I would need to if 3D export would become an option...) @LMarkoya: I was kinda hoping I had my own style... , but I'll take it as a compliment . BTW, found your DA site and I love some of the things you have posted there! |
