Description: This piece where Gaudian pillars meets De Chirico I dedicate to all the brilliant mathematicians and program developers and all you others here at fractalforums.com, who has made the impossible possible. I was having a conversation with Kali, who is one of the mathematic geniuses who also love to see what "the artists" makes of their formulas. I love this mutual respect that we have for each others skills at fractalforums, that is what makes it such a intense boiling pot of ideas. I promised I would do a piece which included one of his formulas, this made me exchange my favorite 'cosine power 8 mandelbulb' with Kalis 'KaliLinCombSSE2sm' in this hybrid: http://MANDELWERK.deviantart.com/art/Paranoic-Critical-TurboEngines-206169141 and out came this beautiful weirdness. Been a bit over productive lately, got to take a brake… :phew: if I can… High res: http://mandelwerk.deviantart.com/art/The-Mathematician-206354052 Mandelbulb 3D, DOF done in Photoshop. KRAFTWERK | May 23, 2011, 11:02:59 AM Merci beaucoup |
Fractalisman | May 23, 2011, 09:17:04 AM Superbe travail ! |
KRAFTWERK | April 26, 2011, 12:06:08 PM Thank you Lenord and dainbramage! And Kali, as I said on DA: OK, you are amongst the least genial geniuses on the forum! But not knowing everything sometimes makes you look at places no one else would have thought of... This is the way I work myself. |
Kali | April 26, 2011, 02:42:45 AM Wow! Awesome as always, Johan! Thanks! KaliLinComb is only my modest contribution to M3D that thanks to Jesse is now included after being suggested by me. It's difficult to obtaing really good results and combinations with it... so I'm surprised you did such a good work with this beatiful image! And thank you so much for your kind words... I think there are true geniuses around here, but I don't consider myself one! I'm just a very curious guy, playing with fractals and some basic math, trying and trying lot of things... but more guided by my intuition than my real habilities. However, I think that someone with my spirit maybe could help the real geniuses into discovering new stuff... who knows. Also I agree that this forum is a great place, not only because of the great minds around here, but because is filled with nice and respectful people. Well, I let you take a rest but not too long! |
dainbramage | April 26, 2011, 01:51:21 AM Incredible Johan! |
lenord | April 25, 2011, 08:48:59 PM It's definitely an addiction and I got it bad. This is awesome, Giant stone Guardians |
KRAFTWERK | April 25, 2011, 07:56:46 PM Thank you Madman & tomot... MB3D is a disease! |
tomot | April 25, 2011, 07:50:55 PM great perspective and lighting |
Madman | April 25, 2011, 07:36:08 PM Definitely an interesting Combo. Great find Kraftwerk! Keep 'em coming! (I don't think being "over productive" applies to M3D ) |
