Description: Everybody knows Fabergé eggs. The fact that every egg had an organic basis that was laboriously prepared is only known to a few. The eggs had to be produced by Livonian hens and could only be collected during a blue moon. Next, 8 minute holes were drilled and connected to small diameter capillaries. The diameter of these capillaries was just big enough to allow one protein molecule at a time to travel through. Finally, a ninth hole was drilled at the top and connected to an even smaller capillary that was linked to a helium source at a slight overpressure. This contraption induced a slow draining process that took more then a year to complete. After completion, the helium connection was severed and replaced by a large metal rod. The contraption was subsequently placed outside during a thunderstorm to induce a lightning strike. The eggs that survived were gilded and from there, Fabergé's creativity was the only limitation...
