| April 06, 2011, 09:10:55 PM I'm a mathematician with no artistic background, so using my own algorithms and software is the best part of making fractals for me. Unless you have my particular kind of craziness, using one of the great programs already available is probably the way to go! |
| Guest | April 06, 2011, 08:54:17 PM I'm a proud owner of Gimp and eagerly await the long overdue Gimp 2.8. I'm familiar with the diffraction patterns as I frequently do psychedelic photomontages. It's interesting that you can incorporate images as colour maps. I also admire you for creating and using your own program when it's so much easier to download some freebies. Think I'll learn programming and one day create something of my own! |
