Guest | February 21, 2011, 11:38:36 AM Fossilized fractals, who would have guessed! |
reallybigname | January 26, 2011, 12:41:05 AM Believe it or not, I only did a little tiny bit of noise reduction in photoshop with Noise > Reduce Noise on the large 3200x2400 image. And, set to a very low strength. I don't even think I adjusted the curves or anything. I just reduced it to 1600x1200 with bicubic smooth. (normally I would use bicubic sharp for reduction, but it was still a little noisy) Most of this effect was just a careful balance of lighting!!! Render it yourself, and you'll see what I mean. The best tip I can give is to do your lighting adjustments after the main render is done. Actually, I even start adjusting the lighting during the ambient shadow portion of the render, as soon as I have enough image to work with. bib | January 25, 2011, 10:27:23 PM Great! What was the trick to get this hyper-realistic finish? |
Guest | January 25, 2011, 10:02:55 PM Excellent photorealistic rendering! Looks like there's life on Mars after all... edited for spelling |
