MarkJayBee | January 13, 2011, 10:18:44 PM Surprisingly miqel, it appears there are no rotations on my version! From checking the param settings it's a neg Mandelbox scale -1.275 with 46 iterations. I probably saw the settings somewhere on FF a goodly while ago, and started playing around with 'em! If you want more detail, I'll send you the params as a PM, I assume you've got a copy of M3D as well as Mandelbulber? Be interesting to see how closely Mandelbulber translates it! ![]() |
Guest | January 13, 2011, 03:05:05 PM Even more synchronicity .... your image has been my desktop for the last week, but i found my image a bit more than a week ago! ![]() I think we are in the same general place but with slightly different rotation parameters. I'm just figuring out this rotation thing by trial and error (I don't have a clear understanding of the sweet spots, or how to predict the results of my rotations ... but that's for a future topic post, which i'm still figuring out how to articulate) Could you tell me the scale & rotation numbers you used - in a language that i can type into Mandelbulber? (Ie: main rotation alpha=4 beta=-22 gamma=3.6 .. or shorthand for the additional folding plane options, like Neg.A.X=10, Pos.G.Y=-22) I know mine is somewhere between a -1.3 & -1.5 box with rotations ... I just went to look it up and didn't save settings for that one. ![]() But I found one from the same night that's 99% chance the same settings. Scale: -1.5 mandelbox, 150 iter Main: A.B.G=0.0.0 Additional Planes: Neg.A.Z=-3 Neg.B.Y=-3 Neg.G.X=-3 Pos.A.Z=4 Pos.B.Y=4 Pos.G.X=4 |
MarkJayBee | January 13, 2011, 12:47:15 PM Excellent image miqel! Think I've been here too - in M3D - with the complexity of these things the chances of that happening are incredibly remote!! Synchronicity or what?! ![]() See: http://markjaybee.deviantart.com/art/Crystalline-Trees-181140149 |
